The Alien Encounter (3Iof Nov/Dec2025

For a few weeks I hear about the mysterious 3I/ATLAS that will pass inside of our solar system. Scientists predict that it has a diameter of 20km and it is the fastest object we have ever observed!

I also found out that there is also a paper entertaining the idea that this object is indeed an alien-made object. Keep in mind that this is just pedagogical and does not presents strict scientific facts, as the authors claim at least.

The main idea behind the alien-origination theory revolves around a series of anomalous characteristics (as anomalous anything can be with our limited understanding of the universe :)).

First of all it has an ambiguous nature, like it's too big to be a rogue asteroid and too big also to be a comet!

In addition, its orbit is a bit unlikely to exist, at least according to science. It will also pass very close to Venus, Mars and Jupiter, which is very rare coincidence.

The paper also investigates the possibility of this structure to be technological structure, created by alien life form. The indications that show such a possibility, derive from its trajectory, rendezvous with several planets and its voyage characteristics, like speed etc, which indicate several non-natural propulsion methods like solar sail.

Epilogue

The authors conclude that with very high probability, this interstellar object is just a meteorite of some form or maybe a comet, but it is also a first-class opportunity to actual test our methods and theories on interstellar object detection.

But who knows what will happen? Lets see, we have a few weeks left!
