What it covers
Part one had produced an add-on that installs and does nothing. This instalment goes into the two files that give it behaviour: overlay.xul, which declares the change to the browser's own interface — a new entry under the Tools menu, a toolbar button — and overlay.js, where the corresponding JavaScript lives. The worked example wires the menu item and the toolbar button to the same handler and loads the add-on's own XUL page, which is enough of a skeleton to hang real functionality on.
Where it sits
It follows the first part, in the same Greek monthly, Linux Inside.
